Vis Constructions Pty Ltd is headed by Award winning builder Keith Vis. We are a family run business that has been building quality homes and commercial projects, including tilt panel work, in the North Queensland region for the past 30 years.
We boast a wealth of experience and expertise within our Management and Operational Teams.
Vis Constructions reputation is based on our effectiveness in delivering projects to a quality finish, on time and within budget, and this is paramount to our success.

Director
Keith is a self-made, hands-on builder who has been working in the construction industry since 1975. He has a passion for complex and quality timberwork in buildings and revels in seeing projects completed to a high standard. Keith has been the director of two building companies, firstly Contim Builders from 1986 to 1990 and Vis Constructions to present.
In Vis Constructions, Keith has built a team of skilled staff who are committed to giving their utmost noon each project. His leadership, charisma and zeal for building mean that he is a strong director who contributes to creating a well-balanced and high-functioning team. Under his leadership, Vis Constructions has won more than a dozen QMBA awards since 2000.

Cassandra Birdsall
General Manager
Cassandra is the daughter of Keith & Suzanne and has been working for Vis Constructions since 2006. During these years she has furthered her knowledge in the administrative areas of the business, including; accounts, contracts, and estimating. As well as liaising with our finance department, she works with the Contract Administrators overseeing the contracts, variations, building approvals, O&M manuals, etc. She also works with the project estimators in submitting tender submissions.
In 2012 she took on the challenge to start her own business (Concrete Spraying Services) which she and her husband, Jarrad own & operate together. Cassandra has inherited her father's zeal and has a genuine passion for the business. Cassandra’s role is to ensure all employees are on track with their mandatory duties. She conducts our audits, meetings, insurances, employee contracts, skills matrix and advertising.

Luke Vis
Operations Manager
Luke is the son of Keith and Suzanne and has been with Vis Constructions since 1999. Completing his carpentry apprenticeship in 2003. Working with Keith on projects from Residential to Commercial. From 2005 to 2007 he travelled & worked in Europe as a maintenance carpenter in hotels and apartments. In 2008 he received his QBCC licence #1142804 Builder Low Rise, test & tag licence and First Aid Certificate and started supervising projects. 2012 he completed Certificate IV in Occupational Health and Safety.
Throughout his experience and training his knowledge has continued to excel. He offers the company great benefits & has built a strong local reputation. All feedback received from the clients he has worked with is that they could not praise his customer service, knowledge and efficiency enough

Our approach to
Training & Skills
Vis Constructions has formal systems in place with a view to strengthening the Far North Queensland construction industry to foster the continued training of both on-site and office-based personnel. In partnership with MEGT and TAFE, Vis Constructions has made a commitment to the future generation of skilled labour through the employment of apprentices.
Vis Constructions maintains a staff training matrix. Employees and apprentices are regularly involved in training and capacity building activities such as:
- Master Builders Associates training sessions
- First-Aid training
- Asbestos training
- Workplace health & safety training
- Safety in construction training
- Management and leadership training
- Cross-cultural awareness
- Audit training
- Test and tag training
