We are the owners and developers of a new eye-catching commercial building located on a prime CBD site at 36 Abbott Street, next to the Cairns Regional Council restoration of The Old Court House.
The building occupies a challenging 1,000 m2 site. Most of the previous building was demolished leaving the partial bones' around which a new building maximising the site coverage together with an additional level was constructed by Vis Constructions.
With the assistance of Edge Architecture and a full suite of consultants, Vis Constructions coordinated by Alan McPherson, the Project Superintendent, completed the project without any significant delays in 16 months.
The building is a first for Cairns incorporating complex technology together with the very latest state of the art systems and services for 'Art Work Spaces. To date, the sophistication of this type of building use has been confined to the capital cities.
We worked closely with Vis Constructions team developing a level of trust, communication and cooperation that was crucial in completing a project that's level of finishes and dedication of trades is not only first-class but it allowed each party to complete the project without any issues, grievances or disputes.
We were very pleased to be working with an extremely capable and very professional local family business. Grant Mulkearns acted as Project Manager with John Cornelius as Site Manager.
We present this Letter of Reference to acknowledge the skills and capabilities of Vis Constructions frontline team but not forgetting Keith Vis, James Vis, Luke Vis and all the Vis Constructions Head team who worked behind the scenes.

Keith was a breath of fresh air after several years searching for the right builder. Vis Constructions quote was reasonable, but more to the point it was never varied.
Keith and his staff were always available and professional to both myself and my architect who was very impressed with their work.
Luke Vis oversaw the construction and was on site for all works. Both subcontractors and staff undertook excellent work of very high-quality. Whenever his advice was sought, Keith and Luke gave advice designed to assist me the client, and on several matters went beyond the call of duty. Work was finished on time and within budget. Suppliers (plumbing and electrical fittings, furniture and furnishers), as well as other contractors (pool, landscaping), were all very happy to work with Vis Constructions, who enjoys an excellent reputation in the industry.
